one rainy, cold day the girls were "bored" so i gave them a project. giving them ONLY the primary colors they had to mix a palette of colors to paint a picture. ellie resisted, she is not comfortable with freedom in creating art. she likes clear rules, directions and instructions. dont know where she got that from???? after some encouragement she tried it! and off she went. she painted a page full of different shades of colors! and had fun!
some color samples
joey painted these birds using ONLY the primary colors as her base. not bad!
the girls are quite close and play well together. oh, they fight! but for the most part they are off together playing and being silly
my girls!
stick art!
i joined up with a local gal to try a homeschool meet up in the area. i committed to 3 weeks to do a trial run. it went quite well. i think we are going to start something up in the fall for the albert county area. with the weather nice we spent most of the time outside. we do have access to a church's gym so we did have a sports afternoon playing with the equipment. it was loud! ha we had them on monday afternoons so it made mondays long and busy. zoo camp (45 min drive one way) home, lunch, connect group, supper and chris's bible study. days are full around hereellie caught a bird
we figured out what kind it was and learned a bit about it
then put it in the bird cage for the night. the plan was to let it go the next day but it died over night. i sus it was sick, seeing as we were able to hold it. we did wash hands VERY well after touching it!
