Leap Castle!

we drove to our new castel hotel, the abbey in donegal.  this hotel was in more of the city and the last part of our stay.  we stayed 2 nights here and did more touring on foot.  

wouldnt want to climb down these stairs at night after a few drinks!

we wanted to tour castle leap but the owner wasnt around!  why?  because this castle is also known as fierce carroll castle!  from my ancestry!  the carroll clan was a group of rowdy, fierce, kinda scary fighters and this was our castle!!  it has been sold privately and the new power is fixing it up to host tourists. i thought it was very neat to visit....seeing as i am a fierce carroll. haha
