we're here!

up bright and early, 4 am. note his swollen eye. stupid allergies! c, n and 1 left wed am for ont to visit nana and papa plumps

then we put him to work. haha

loving this whole dvd in the car. we loved it too

nate got out of the van, dropped to the ground and asked "are we there yet?" haha

mcdees for lunch. a play park was a must

we arrived in ottawa wed night around 5ish. checked in and found an adorable pub with wicked grub for supper. we were tired but had a great day on the road! 12 hrs and nate did AWESOME!

i know have a staring contest. haha

thurs we did 6 hrs of driving and got to the farm around 4ish...

hay! yeah! we are in the country now!

the farm is amazing. i will take pics tomorrow to post. simply wonderful! these are the roses from my room, cut from muetti's rose bush

another flower arrangement for me from muetti! there was small chocolates around the base but they are gone, i ate them. yummy swiss chocolate...haha!

we are here, enjoying it and relaxing! i will update again soon!

p.donny wa preachin in luke yesterday and my eyes fell on an old, faithful, much read passage but i saw it diff and i thought i would share (this is my thoughts, not p.doony's :)

When he (jesus) came to the village of Nazareth, his boyhood home, he went as usual to the synagogue on the Sabbath and stood up to read the Scriptures.

The scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where this was written:

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released,
that the blind will see,
that the oppressed will be set free,
and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.[a]”

He rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the attendant, and sat down. All eyes in the synagogue looked at him intently. Then he began to speak to them. “The Scripture you’ve just heard has been fulfilled this very day!”

i was thinking about it this am (as i mopped my floors ha!)

jesus, all grown up goes home to is home town, where everyone knew him and watched him grow up, worked with him, played some soccer, made a fort or two, had some ice cream, competed with him in school...esp bible 101...etc...

so he's home, does his typical sunday thing, goes to church and he gets the sacred scriptures, the scrolls (think Canadian Stanley cup) and reads it out loud

then he simply, rolls it back up, gives it back and declares "i am this guy!" i wonder who believed him right away, no questions asked. was it bec they just trusted him?

or bec they "knew" and were stuffed with the holy spirit

man, i must take my spiritual knowing up a notch. i would not want to miss anything....

and that's my babble for today!

mom's b-day

jon made it to the party, this must be celebrated. haha. check out my little bro, sniff, sniff....he kinda looks like my dad. a much younger version. ha!

the cake is here! the cake is here! quinn LOVES baking and all things kitchen, he picked the cup cake recipe, then chose the decoration, went to the store with cry to get them, then decorated them. he was SO happy. he lead us in the song "happy birthday to you nana!"

nana and her vanilla/lemon cup cakes (SO good) with home made chocolate decorations in the garden theme cause nan likes flowers. awwww quinn! i love you!

quick hali trip

we decided to make a quick trip to hali so the boys can see each other before we take off for our july family adventure...nate kept himself busy with this abc toy for about....

15 mins. then the meds kicked in and he was out
i did take him to the dr and he does have a bacterial infection, that mixed with allergies makes one icky boy

then he really crashed..haha

sheer and utter joy and excitement the boys were untied again. quinn was invited to a party and nate was able to go, they had SO much fun. this was once whacked kids party
