it's all fun and games

life!

i asked nate to write a sentence for writing and spelling yesterday. his choice, he came up with this....oya

yesterday, ellie was pointing to the cupboard and yelling something i didnt understand. so i picked her up and asked her to show me what she wants. she pointed to my cupboard beside the stove. i keep bottles and candles there....and my jar of cleaning wipes....she was saying "i clean! mom! i clean!" so i gave her a wipe and off she went. wearing her red sparkly shoes....that she LOVES.

it has been a week. a very intensive week

i want to clear something up, its starting to anoy me.

yes, chris is on pat leave. but let me make it VERY clear. chris is NOT around during the day. esp this week. i am on my own with the kids. i am NOT getting the help that ppl think. no, chris is working on projects for us and others

this week he spent over 50 hrs working on a web site www.henb.ca(check it out! he did a GREAT job on it) i saw him literally for 5 mins in the morning, 10 mins at lunch, 15 max for supper and a kiss good night when i went to bed. i have spent this week with the kids 12+ hrs each day. alone.

i just wanted to clear that up, its hard to hear comments about how great it is o get help....ummmm no im not getting help. im on my own thanks!

i also want to be clear. i am NOT upset about this. i am 100% behind chris and him helping others out, what ever job he does he can do it because i am at home with the kids, so while chris is out doing the work, its actually us because we are a team.

this wk he focused on the web site for henb. i am completely supportive of him taking this on and spending so many hrs working on it, not just this wk, or the past but also the time he will spend in the future. i home school and i would love to support the home school community any way i can.

i just got frustrated after a long week and hearing oh having chris's help must be nice. its not the case! oya!

so thats us! i hope to get the tree up today, and finish my christmas shopping, school and catch up on house work

ursi- we got the packages this week! thanks so much! cant wait to open them. and yes im using all about spelling with nate. i noticed a HUGE difference after day 2! yeah!

nate sent this note down via ellie when i sent him up to play. yes, going to the play room to PLAY is a punishment for him. ellie gave me the note and i corrected it, then sent it back up to nate via ellie for nate to rewrite it the correct way

i came in to this the other night. i asked him what he was doing, thinking he's praying?

joey jo!

what a joy. SO glad we had her. just happy, happy, happy....we stopped her dream feed 2 wks ago, so she goes to bed with a bottle around 6 and sleeps till 6-7ish. this week thou shes been having 2 am parties in her crib, she sent out invitations and yells for me to join her. i do! i come in to find kicking legs and waving arms, chubby, smiling cheeks which cry to be kissed, and lots of babble talk. i talk to her, change her bum and shut the party back down. she takes it well, sooky in and turns her head and goes back to sleep. i love her, even her 2 am parties!

catching up!

first, i know i am long over due, its been a crazy week! and when life happens, and i choose to snuggle my baby instead of blogging, i know you all understand! hahaha

so last tues night, chris and nate went to a craft show to sell his leaves, they only sold 8. so they made the choice to go back to door to door, they sell way more that way.

anyways. i went to put joey jo to bed and came down to this. ellie found nates tablet (its like a mini ipad) she turned it on, then found her fav game and i busted her playing it!!!!

now to explain, yes n has a tablet. BUT i am loco on the rules. its used for school, he has about 6 kid sites he checks out daily, kid news, science, wild life etc... from mon-fri he gets 30 mins of games in the morning before school and 30 mins after ONLY if he earned it. he can only use it when we are in the room, he can not take it upstairs and any movies shows he watched on netflix can only happen on sat-sun (i am super chill about screen time on the wkend, i figure im strict during the week ,he can use it on the wkend) i also monitor what he does on it.

most awesome, its the BEST way to threaten consequences, bawahhhhh

we finished up this book!

this was by far the BEST book ive read to him. he was begging for it daily, it was a great read and i was able to use it to talk about history, trees and life. if anyone wants to borrow it, in box me! its a great read

i busted out the sand. yes, in door sand. they LOVE it. its the BEST. it oil based so its easy to clean up and doesnt make a mess!

and i can say i do preschool "texture" teaching with my 2yr old. hahaha

ellie actually sat still for about 10 mins to play with it. this is a record for my always on the move girl 0 comments

the bags arrived!

some crazy warm snow playing yesterday!

nate started bugging me back in SEPT about his bag of nuts. they finally arrived yesterday. nate was SO excited. seriously, we LOVE this tradition!!!

ellie has one too

nate waited 2 seconds before busting it open to get the chocolate out. haha

chris went to get a nut cracker yesterday so we could eat the nuts. we love our bags!!! thanks so much muetti for doing this for us. we love it and its a great way to start the season. thank you!!

i took this before heading out the door for j's 4 month dr appoint. she is smack in the middle of weight, above average for height, above average for strength and is doing awesome in holding her head. she bawled when she got her needles. i cried too. its just so pitiful to watch, i grabbed her as soon as i could to cuddle her. my poor bug

i think im going to have to start posting things other than my kids. i do do other things you know. haha. seriously, i do have a life outside my kids. i just focus on them for the grandparents.

life is good. we are in a good place. i can honestly say this is the happiest ive ever been. andi can say that after a rough day yesterday and this morning! home schooling is awesome. ellie is ellie. jo is the best, i have so much to be thankful for. an amazing hubby and most of all a god who loves me. im surrounded my family and support. i am grateful for everything

blankets! blankets!

my kids LOVE blankets and tucking themselves in. yesterday am i left the room and came back to this. ellie jumped on the couch, tucked herself and johana in for a round of sesame st! too cute

ellies finally starting to show interest in coloring....or rather she sat for 3 mins!

more tucking in. ellie snuck her blankets from her bed out and tucked jo in (shes not allowed to take the blankets out cause then when its bed time i cant find them the world falls a part. shes never slept with out her blanket ursi!)

more tucking in. see a trend? ha. i totally think ellie will be as good to jo as nate is to her. she copies everything nate does and i can honestly say, nate treats ellie like gold

our new spelling curric arrived! nate was getting so frustrated with the old curric so i finally sprung the bucks and got a new one. day one, he LOVES it and got 8/9 right. not too bad!
