we finally got the tree up this wkend. what an ordeal that was! k, i fess up. each yr i simple take the decorations off the tree and cover it and we drag it down stairs to the basement, with the lights on. no fuss and its easy. this yr 6 of the 10 strands of lights blew out. so we had to take all the lights off and buy new ones. and i like lights. so we switched to the led white which have a blue tone to it. its different....anyways. my simple christmas box display
and this yr we have a new mini tree (not new, my old broken outdoor tree that we re purposed) which proudly displays our ugly tree ornaments. when chris and i first got hitched we were given an ugly ornament for a wedding present, which had me go "hu??" and i started the annual ugly tree ornament contest! and it has rules. it goes as follow...each yr we purchase 1 ugly, weird or "hu???" ornament from a store, NOT the dollar store and we display it front center of the tree. then the following yr it joins the rest in the back of the tree. but this yr i wanted them to have their own tree....hahaha.....
the blocks are out and are well played with

this yr's ugly tree ornament! bec every one wants a pink, glittery monkey on their tree!
ben is being watched over this yr...and dad we are 1 short. hahahahaha
