it's all fun and games

march break!

n.b had their march break last week but we didnt take it. we are going to hali next week to join my niece and nephews for theirs...

trying to come up with ways to get joey motivated to read. sigh. i came up with this. every time she reads a book she can put it on the door!

and its working!!!! no more pulling teeth! yesterday she read 2 books! on her own! we are getting there!

2 week ends ago, i met up with my parents and sis, jon and copper. we had lunch at pattersons. the kids quickly dropped their winter gear to play!

after lunch we split up. mom, dad, nate and quinn went to charlottetown to visit my aunt. me, cry, charlie and ellie went to summerside for a wkend of hockey. charlie had a hockey tournamant. so just us girls went. because it would be really late nights and long days, we kept joey home with chris. chris and joey had a wkend to themselves, they had a date night, watched a movie and even went to the cabin together.

charlie played 1 game fri, and 2 on sat. the wkend was filled with LATE nights, too much swimming, a visit to charlottetown to visit my parents hotel pool and lots of memories

charlies first game, they did the music, the fog and announced their names when they hit the ice. so fun!

then it was time to swim. again. and again. and again...

sat afternoon was her last game. after the game we went to c'town

to swim more

we hit up cows for chocolate covered chips and nate bought me a raspberry cordial! so sweet!

soooooo tired!

we woke up sun morning to a SNOW storm! we left the island around 10. my parents drove nate and i home and stayed for a few days to visit

i did it! it makes unloading groceries SO much easier!

thurs we met up with friends to bowl. joey got a strike!!!

after bowling it was a quick drop of at the house, nate babysat while chris and i went to the humanity project for our monthly serve. chris ran the dish washer, hyunnah and i ran the coffee station. i LOVE the coffee job. i talk to everyone!

after we finished our serve, us ladies ditched them men and went out for coffee. it was a full day! but enjoyable!

with wanting to be snow white, ha. i feed the critters regularly. after i filled the feeder a squirrel came out. see how close he was to me!

say i went into town for awhile by myself. so nice! sun i really didnt want to leave the cabin. nate and i went for a walk to the river and i would have gone farther but i really need a pair of snow shoes...ill get them next yr...it was so nice out!

tues i had an appointment that ended sooner than i thought it would take. i left the kids at home with nate and with the extra time i picked up chris for a coffee...

instead of going to tims, i wanted to try a new place. i passed this cute looking shop a few wks back with a coffee sign in the window. i couldnt read the sign other than "billy" so i assumed it was "billy beans"

so c and i go in. theres 1 small table, a coffee perk and the strong odor of pot....then i busted out laughing. the sign said "billy bongs!"

we ended up staying for coffee, talked to the owner, bought some CBD bath bombs and left with a great story to tell

next time ill read the sign properly.
