it's all fun and games

pt 3

tues was another "normal" haha day around here. joey found this fella that she wanted to bring in the house. i said NO! ha!

nate has been begging for jobs to earn extra screen time....i had him clean my car! and he did a GREAT job at it. and it was 1 less thing to check off my list!

wed was our "soft start" back to school....yikes! i was SOOO tired after the day! in the summer chris came up with this great idea. i now have a sign on my door. when i need a minute alone (like to use the bathroom haha) i flip it....to closed!

i love it! its a way for me to set boundaries with the kids, so i dont burn out!

after school i found this little missy! like this. so cute!

monday was such a BUST day for me. after the picnic, i picked up jessy, i watched him 2 days this week, then i got a notification that zoo camp went live. i spent the next 30 mins trying to get my girls in...ha. with all the new home schoolers, our home school programs are maxed out. i was able to get them into 5 classes together (out of 9) and since then the zoo has added 6 more! but the girls were SOOOOO excited about getting into zoo camp together that they packed their bag wed morning. haha. zoo camp started on thurs!

i went to bed thurs night and saw this....back in june joey out these fells beside my bed so i can always remember her....the mom and baby. ive kept them there.

its the little things that help get you through the big things!

pt 4! Zoo camp!

zoo camp was thursday....it was met with excitement and a bit of anxiety for joey. she has never gone before and she was a bit upset about the unknown....but she faced her fears and went!

ellie was SOOOOO excited to go!

and lte me do her hair! which is not the norm around here! ha

what is this i see? its so early, what is it?????hahah i was up and on the road at 8:30! haha

pt 5!

look what i found carroll siblings! its at the cabin now! ha!

after zoo camp on thirs i took the kids to the cabin. we did some school...

and played outside. we made this! i bought a box of felt flowers, the girls and i spent an hour making flowers and then glued them on a board that i found.

i have NO clue what ill do with it haha

then we monkeyed around

joey had a boo boo. so she made a bandaid!

fri we did school and had my friend come visit. there is NOTHING better than good coffee, in the cabin on a rainy day...with friends! the best afternoon!

i came back to the house on sat with nate to blog, mark school and return messages....i came into the kitchen and found this fella. i said "jessy, whatcha doing?" an he says "im thirsty" bawahhhhno one is home but nate and i and yet he fells the freedom to come in. love it!

i hope to get more serious about school this coming week....and blog more about that....but the weather is so nice and it calls me to join it! so, off i go! ha!

the end of summer pt 1!

ive tried to take time and doodle when i have a minute....its not often mind you, but i think its something i want to continue to do....when i have time...

a few weeks back, i think it was the long weekend....i took the girls to the cabin for GIRLS NIGHT! i planned an evening for just us girl! and we had a blast. i packed a picnic and some paper and pens to draw and we headed to the river

we played, explored and drew. we ate and made memories. it was a lot of fun! we were there for about 2 hrs...

then we headed back to paint and play. then we sat down and had supper together. i did it up, and they LOVED it. at the end of the wkend i asked them what was their favorite part? they both said the river and eating supper together! joey ended up in bed with me for the night, and ellie joined me in the morning...we spent saturday playing, reading and making crafts. daddy and nate joined us sunday morning

i found this list on my old ipad. ellie likes to call it her ipad. ha. i LOVE her list. she is such a little crystal. i find lists everywhere. ellie LOVES making a list and checking everything off!

pt 2!

ellie made herself a critter catcher. she did a GREAT job, she put peanuts inside and waited for the squirrel to come. and it DID! the dropped the lid on it and caught it! i was impressed!

ive been asked to join the leadership team form our local group. i said yes, i had NO clue how overwhelming the next 2 weeks would be...ive spend HOURS talking to people, emails, texts and managing the facebook page. at the same time i was developing a forest school....it took so much time...only to cancel Forrest school....but the influx of new (covid schoolers i call them) has really overwhelmed the whole team, and im not even talking about the time ever spent with HENB....its CRAZY! so. many. new home schoolers, i imagine they will only do it for a yr....but man! its a lot of work!

anyways! we had a meet and greet at the park, over 100 NEW people showed up! it was nuts....the girls managed to FINALLY do the monkey bars! ellie first!
