spring is here

and the trees has the buds to prove it
we took nate to the park. i discovered how a year can change things. see that tiny, red dot? that would be nate. he left us to go play. all by himself

rubber booted boy ='s splashing in the water
checking out the ducks with daddy
again, that tiny red spot 1/2 way up the stairs? that would be nate. going to investigate. alone
checking out the new to him park
he did need my weight to teeter with daddy
my heart sored when he grabbed my hand to walk around the lake. he didn't need to. he wanted to.
amazed by the big tank
until he saw the train (there is a train behind the bars) nate loves trains
nate is growing up so fast. with it comes changing and shifting of our relationship. i am amazed by how independent he is becoming. which is a good thing
he's old enough to go get me stuff. bawahhh
but young enough to allow me to kiss boo boo's and give cuddles
i will never regret turning off the vacuum, stop folding/putting away laundry, cleaning or cooking to read him a book or give a cuddle when he asks for it
not because nate is spoiled and i give him too much attention
but because the house will always be here
he won't be

help me lord to live each day to it's fullest. filled with what you desire me to do

redness!

i found a smoking dealio in this red couch. so i ordered it. before i knew where i wanted to put it. i knew i wanted it in the front room, but where? how? i have no clue. after moving the furniture around a few times, chris gave up and we settled on this arrangement...until i change my mind again. i love my red couch!
nate had to have his snack on it
he was quite pleased with himself
he actually unpacked it for me
and took a rest. ha.
yeah for red couches! i also got 2 brown box chairs. i have no clue where to put them. so for now they are sitting in the back living room...with all the other mixed furniture....slow and steady the house will be decorated....

uncle johnny

uncle johnny came fri bearing gift to the boys. his beloved hot wheels. jon gave the boys 2 cases full of shiny, perty, perfect hot wheels
nate is beyond thrilled with his cars. he woke up sat morning asking to play with them. he takes them out of the case, looks at every single tiny detail. then puts it back, taking out another car...he does this over and over and over
nate checking his new cars out.
thanks a lot uncle johnny, you are the coolest uncle around!

crystal palace with quinn!

nate checking out all the rides
sat afternoon (after the ladies went thrifting/bin diving at frenchies) we took the boys to crystal palace. where nate learnt a special lesson. when you share with others you will be blessed! remember how he saved his precious train ticket to share with quinn? well he got more ride tickets to ride with quinn!
first and most important. the train!
then the horse. nate was trying to not smile
quinn and daddy on the horse
then the big trucks
then the crazy sub...which nate did not like so much at first....then he got use to it and loved it
see those teeny, tiny faces up so high. sniff.
big waves from quinn....not from nate who was hiding inside. ha
then we got hungry so we left and checked out a new to us restaurant. the blue olive. quite good actually, we shall return
sat was a full, fun filled day!

prechurch show

quinn looking sharp!
buds in their duds
posers
gq anyone?
i left nate's sunday dress to chris. i had to leave super early for church. i was quite nervous about this why? let's see
white pants (light colored undies and socks are a must)
cardy (button the bottom but not the top)
shirt (don't tuck, leave out)
hair (gel!)
face (wash it!)
freshly dressed 2 yr old boys require pic's on the snap, before they get dirty, spill and mess up their outfits...mommie's make sure this all goes down and has the pics to prove it
great job chris!
*thanks cry for fixing nate, washing his face, changing his undies from navy blue to white and putting the matching shoes on...not that boots would be wrong or anything...and taking pics for me

easter sunday church!

the kids choir (i know the pic is blurry, i chose it on purpose-i never post pics of ppl esp kids with out contacting the parents but there is just too many ppl to contact so blurry is ok, you can't "see" who they are)

anyways. i am beyond thrilled with the kids. they did AWESOME! i am SO proud of each and everyone of them! jill did an amazing job with them!! thanks for all the hard work you did!!!
nate chilling in his class while i sang

can you see me? i am in a choir (that i did not get kicked out of or have the mic turned off on)
we did quite well, if i do say so myself.
this may look like a silly, simple, fun thing to do. but it was not! joining this choir was huge for me. it took me WAY out of my comfort place. over all it went well.
i went from the first 3ish practices of feeling like i was in the 8th grade in the caf, looking for a place to put my tray down and sit to the last practice of feeling like i was leaving the 9th grade, knowing a few more ppl that i did not know before :)
would i do it again? sure. it's good to grow and step out. even if you are scared
