it's all fun and games

hair!

i FINALLY, after 3 WEEKS of trying to get a hair cut, got one last week. i NEEDED it bad! i snapped a quick before pic with jo on the way out the door!

done! driving on the way home. i LOVE it, so easy to not do!

the kids didnt know what to think, jo came right to me, the other two needed to warm up. ellie kept touching my hair and saying"soft hair, so pretty" so i think she likes it

i told ellie she couldn't go outside to play, it was bed time after i fed jo. so she sat down like this and watched. i asked her what she was doing and she said "i cant go out, so i watch the kids" hahaha but she obeyed!

beautiful!

one of the many things i am super grateful for with home schooling...is doing things on our own schedule. one morning last week, it was so beautiful out! i packed a lunch and we hit the park. the kids played and ran. explored the trees and leaves. had fresh air, made some memories and the girls had 2+hr naps...we were able to do our book time in the afternoon....i truly like that we have the freedom to do this

hunter girl

the other day, during nate's history lesson, ellie kept herself busy by shooting bullets at the birds i have hanging from the light. she came up with this activity all on her own. brilliant and scary at the same time. ha. she even wore nate's 1812 war helmet for protection (helmet=box ha)

first try, she hit the bird!

shawn and jeff would be proud!

she even came up with a set stool to stand on. ha my poor decorative birds. one has all ready died...ha

stairs!

fri morning, i was able to catch miss johana showing off her new trick, on camera! she climbed the stairs for the first time, alone!

up she goes

ellie sat at the top and yelled "jo jo! you can do it! come jo jo!"
then when she got to the top ellie yelled "jo jo you DID IT"
nate stayed behind to make sure johana didnt fall
i stopped taking pics at this point and took a video for chris too see

playing. for the record. ellie chooses to wear 1 pink and 1 purple shoe. i dont mind, i think it makes her unique. so when you see her in mixed clothing/shoes...its bec she wants it that way!

shopping

i tried to sell the kids, but no one wanted them. so i took them back. ellie even posed. ha

sat, chris went to an auction (for more tools) so i took the kids shopping with mom and dad

jo was happy playing with her snack container. ha

mom and dad came up fri-sun for a visit. fun times, the kids missed you guys!

silly

nate is back in my bed, for some nights. we enjoy our late night talks and sillies

yesterday morning, the girls needed baths, so i tossed them in the tub. after school i sent nate and ellie out to play, after a good 30 mins i went looking for them. and found them playing in the mud!
