it's all fun and games

snow part 1

sun we were hit with another storm. this was sun night. the snow passed the patio doors

mon chris went out to clear the driveway. it took him 2 hrs. most of our neighbours were out helping each other. i haven't seen this much snow since the winter of 92 in summerside pei. those were AWESOME memories! ellie stayed out with chris the whole time

chris took the snow blower up to start clearing it off. the gazebo was bending due to the weight and the snow was just under the kid's bedroom windows!!! crazy!

i brought chris out a coffee for a break and captured this moment. ellie was telling chris she loved him. ellie grew out of her pink snow suit, i saved nate's blue one with the thought to use it on her...why not? who caress if it's a boys snow suit. it works. ha

jo jo and i stayed in. by this time, i forced ellie to come in, she cried but her cheeks were turning white! time to come in and have a bread cake snack (banana muffins)

my jo jo doll! love this miracle baby! so wanted, so loved, what a dolly are truly are!

ellie is my helper. she took the bottle from the counter, walked over and fed jo

i love how jo is looking at her!

our march door. the kids helped with it. nate cut the shapes, used the glitter glue and helped put it up. the rainbow is suppose to look choppy. nate is already working on the next one. ha

ellie loves it, she loves color and glitter and anything new. she just loves life! 0 comments

my life

this is me. my kids. i love them and am grateful that i can stay home and raise them!

i started ellie on a loose preschool program. that i made up. haha. i got her a journal and i draw something and she colors it

she loves having her own book and brings it to me
i am blown away by how fast she picks up on things, she is more advanced than nate was at this age. she loves to talk and boy, does she ever! most days i have no clue what she's saying. ha

the other day i told her we can go out to play and she says "lets get on with it!" as i dressed her. haha

she asked me to write her name, her whole name, then she wanted quinn, charlie, papa, nana and aunty....sorry shawn.....she forgot about you. har har

i found her like this!!!

my word!she is into everything, but she's cute about it so she gets away with it. ha

this morning she said to me "mama. i go upstairs to play room to cook. ok? yes? thank you. good bye. i love you, have a good time. bye bye!" 0 comments

i love how chris recycled it. i laughed!

id admit it. i didnt actually buy it! it was 8.99! i found it in the parking lot and figured id use it.....but gave it to chris last week....we are so romantic! bawahhhhh actually chris gave me the most wicked back rub today. much better than flowers!

i made nate a valentine, not sure how he was going to take it, he's almost 8 and is growing into a man-child. he is not so into loving displays anymore (he doesn't sleep in my bed anymore, he told me he's too old sob sob) anyways, i made a valentine and was truthful in it, not just saying all the lame reasons why i love him......he LOVED it. after i gave it to him he stood around the corner, read it and told me "thanks mom, i really loved that" and hung it up on his bboard

my heart. hes growing too fast!

we are in the midst of a snow storm. another one. this pic was taken 2 hrs ago and the window is now covered. i don't mind the storm, i am getting SO much done around here. we've also read many books, made some pictures, cuddled my baby, and just now put the t.v on! not too bad for a snowed in sunday!

life!

after checking on the kids one night last week, i found this
ellie out her babies to bed too

i like to take pics of the silly, random things i find. it helps me keep things in perspective

i found ellie, aka MONKEY! this way. sigh. butter knife, bread and ready to make herself some toast!
ellie is one busy girl, ha. i keep most things away that would cause major damage (scissors , perm markers, meds, chemicals) and i don't leave the kids alone that much but man! shes into everything! hands in the toilet, standing in the window ledge...in my room! climbing into everything. such a monkey

she also LOVES being outside, i braved the cold 3 times this week and took her for a walk. it was SO cold -17, after 20 mins of being outside she asked me to take her home! this is a first

we got mail from quinn and charlie-cooco (yes, she renamed herself)
ellie was happy to sit and watch nate open

and just the excitement of that was too much for her

she then saw it was a picture from quinn and charlie-cocoo

and was thrilled with the letter and notes!

i haven't seen the picture since they opened it. nate said they took it to their room....haha 0 comments

its been so cold out lately but we braved the cold to play in the snow. its good to get out side. i can. not. wait for the summer and being outside a lot more. althou, we are taking full on advantage of the cold and snow and bursting through the books. i love that about home educating, we work at our own pace...i haven't told nate that he's almost done grade 2, and i use that loosely cause i have no clue what grade 2 actually is....but we've finished almost everything i had hoped to have done, so we are at a good place....not that he needs to know this. hahaha
