science fair

 so we had the annual science fair yesterday.  we learned SO much. NOT about his project but about how chris, nate and i work together

i learned that...

-we will NEVER leave a project until the last week. EVER again
-nate and i do NOT enjoy working rushed at the last minute. we both felt stressed and it was NOT enjoyable
-nate will have more of a say of his project choice next yr

althou nate worked very hard on the project, he spent every night last week until 9:30-10:30 working on it, then again during the day with me, he learned  a lot about tools and working hard on a project, even through the tears, the freak outs and the smiles. at the end of the day, he did a GREAT job and i am SO very proud of him.  forget about his project!  im so very proud of the character/ the maturity i saw, i am so proud of him!

 then after joey destroyed a project, after 3 SECONDS, i put her in the balcony, we had a snack then i took her home.  i love my joey but she is SOOOOO busy!!!!!!

 i took my ellie, my errand ellie out last night. we stopped for a snack. i truly love having 1 on 1 time with her. such a spark plug of life she is

 i was marking nates work last night and i saw this happen. i grabbed my camera and snapped a few pics

 the kids are so gonna LOVE going to the farm this summer. maybe we can beg a ride in the real tractor???

 i took just ellie to the park today.  i had her wear her boots because the last time we went to this park, she spent so much time taking her shoes off and shaking the rocks out....so after 5 mins im like somethings new about this place....

 the rocks are all gone!!!! they took out the rocks and replaced it with that awesome rubber covering.  thank you dieppe tax payers for this wonderful gift....signed the moncton tax payer...hahahaha

she was sad when she wouldnt turn the water on from the button, she turns around and says to me "MOM! the batteries are broken!  we can fix it!"

more park

 i took the kids to meet daddy one morning last week.  it was after the rain, and joey found those puddles!  and jumped right in. but it was ok, she had her "joey-boots" on

the woods

 i took the kids to the woods the other day, at "school bus time" meaning all the other kids were getting off the bus, but we had been at the park for awhile and were staying....a huge perk to home educating. we love home school!

 she was a bit under foot with the uneven ground and would grab my hand to support herself. these are the moments that make me stop and thank god that im the one she's reaching out for

 my baby, my joey. so glad we had you!

 ohhhh she heard the birds singing!  the birds are BACK!  i cant believe how much louder they get every year.  about 7 yrs ago we noticed they were gone due to the loss of their habitat, but slowly as the building slowed down, they came back...i love sleeping with my window open, falling asleep to them and the peepers, then being awaken at 5 to shut my window cause they start back up and wake me up...but its so worth it!  chris laughs at my antics, but i love the chickadees and until i have my new house in the country. this will have to do! 

 ohhhhh the birdies!

 i found the neatest skeleton leaf. it was almost transparent but each vine was in place. it was so cool!

im back!

 the kids playing some ball in the yard

little miss joey last tues before her last baby dr appoint.  i snapped this pic and sobbed an inner cry.  this is the LAST baby dr i will EVER take any of my babies too.....sob sob.....sure it was her 16 month appointment.....but whats a few months late?  why? bec i FORGOT...hahahaha anyways joey got weighted, charted, marked and poked.  at the end of the appoint my dr said "ill see her when he's 10 for her next needle"  why? bec i hardly ever and never have taken my kids to the dr!  haha  i just cant be bothered. they are fine. (i do take them to walk in clinics when needed)

 so joey found this little lego toy and turned it into her own cell phone

 and called everyone she knew and put on a show for the ppl in the waiting room. she is such a tiny ham. so funny

 we went to a park one day last week to get out of the house...the kids love this park. so i was sitting on the bench talking to chris and i spotted a car pull up and 2 kids, a mom and a dad got out. after watching the boy for about 5 mins i called nate over and said "nate, that kid is home schooled. go over and say hi"

 and he did
guess what? hes home schooled but lives out of town, after talking with his mom we decided to exchange numbers and get the boys together. this kid usually attends forest school so nate has another friend to hang with next yr....who says home schoolers are unsocialized. pu-leese

 joey played with the dog and i firmly told the other two that we are NOT getting a dog. no way!

 my parents came up last wed for chris and my's annual night away from the kids.....home school conf. but bec chris is on the board, that makes me on the board too....we have to be there fri morning till the end to, well, put on the conf.  we worked the whole time. i did sit in 1 workshop and quickly bought some books fri night, other than that. we worked our butts off.....this is NOT my idea of our "one night a yr" date. sigh...

conf was good this yr, for all the behind the doors DRAMA that went on this past yr, it went smooth. the new conf coord and his wife were a lovely couple and i got along very well with them.  towards the end of sat the wife said to me" you are nothing like i thought you were" thanks! haha  theres a lot of work to do to get conf running smoothly next yr but with the new board team, i think we will rock it out of the park!  and our speaker is steve demmes, the author of math u see! thats fun!

so yea, im back, conf is OVER and i just have to knock a few more projects off and we will be flying into SUMMER vacation!!!!  yea!!!!!
