fall!

this, the girls were cranky.  ellie and jo both have colds and jo is cutting a molar. so i took them outside to the park to play and be distracted from their discomfort.  it worked. they played and ran outside and came home to a 2 hrs nap (ellie) and jo 3.5.  score for me.  2 hrs of school got done. har
i had a tim's. it was worth loading the kids up and going. ha.  and yes, my braid is past the length of the cup. i really need a hair cut!
i fed jo and she was happy!
ellie brought her pony to run and enjoy the weather
beautiful fall morning! glad i was able to enjoy it 0 comments

skate park monday

jo jo feasting on her amazing timmy's new apple, caramel bagel. so good!  watching the action from the stroller
my heart.  chris is an amazing dad.  he truly is. he adores his girls.  so thankful for this dude
my life.  thank you god, you are faithful
 up close of my clan
nate was holding her so she wouldnt fall. he is truly kind with his sisters, not just at the skate park, but when his friend is over and they are playing video games; he is still kind to them
my new fav pic. he's a great son
 trying to get her walking....haha
 such a happy little thing

at costco tonight, she saw a guy that i would describe as "alaskan wild man/hill billy/unshowered scary man" she caught his eye and smiled and WAVED. the guy was so taken, so touched with this. i smiled at him and said "she thinks your special"
my heart. daddy and his baby girl
and that wraps up the last few days, with some school tossed in there. ha. i should do a school update soon. so far, school is AWESOME. i truly think it gets better each year.  so thankful i stuck it out, thanks dad for not letting me quit!  chris supports me for sure and has helped me through the hard days, but a day a yr ago, i was on the phone with my parents, crying and so very discouraged about home schooling when dad pipped up and said "mel! dont you quit! you can do this! we believe you can and support you" i held on to that and kept going....

thank you mom and dad.  your support means flowers on dark day.  we love you guys 0 comments

JOHANA!

 hehe
she wrote her own name! hee hee
ellie was so excited to see her abc's, as she calls them
last night, after i put jo to bed i found them like this. i asked nate what she was saying and he told me she was whispering in his ear "you are a poopy head"
 love their bond
so ellie is this chatter box of redic-ness.  she i so adorable in her chitter chatter and we love just listening to the things that come out of her mouth.  some prime examples are:

i gave her the last pudding on monday. she said "oh, no mom!  please put this on your list; pudding for me, next time you go shopping"

haha

waking up the other morning she greets me with "good morning mama, did you have a good sleep?"

then, asking for chips and i told her we didnt have any she said :oh, call papa chips and ask him for some to bring to me" bwahhhhh

she is just too funny, we think anyways

cant wait to see what jo jo is like 2 comments

art and fears!

we made a cute tree stamping picture yesterday. i made 2 trees and gave 1 to ellie to make, as she started stamping away, nate came over and quietly said "hey mom, can i make one too?"  i laughed and said yes, i already made you a tree trunk. he's really getting into this art stuff!
ellie has a HUGE fear of bugs an spiders.  nate has a fake plastic spider that when she saw it, she would literally shake and scream. after working with her the last 4 days on facing this fear, and much chocolate and kisses from daddy, she finally touched it!  yesterday she was so proud to hold the spider and show me
then she wanted a picture of it!
 such a beautiful girl!

she wont be crawling much longer i think
 love her baby moves
 grass!  grass everywhere!
i have some grass! you want some grass?
cute bug watching her older siblings play
 ellie on the run!
 she loves to run!
i took the kids to the park to enjoy some sun before the rain sets in. we had a mini picnic and enjoyed watching the kids get off the bus and say "no fair! i want to be home schooled" hahaha 0 comments

helper

as i was making soup for supper, ellie made her own soup. she played for a good 30 mins at the sink. i told her to clean it up when she was done.  when she finished, she came and got me and said"all done, i cleaned up"

and she did!
we are studying birds for science, one of the experiments we decided to do was pick 4 different types of bird food and put it outside on different locations. on a fence, on the ground etc...and see which kind the birds like

i had nate line up his prediction/hypothesis for the birds fav food. as soon as the rain stops we will go out and check!
on the ground, under the tree. i am thinking this one will not be a winner. haha
on the mini fence, the yummy fruit mix
nate went out mon and tues to record his findings but its rained the last 2 days so im hoping he can get back out there this wkend to check on the feed 0 comments
